Settings every school inherits
Academic year. The directorate creates the academic year, marks which one is current and archives past years. Only one year can be current at a time, so every dashboard and report in the state uses the same year, and nobody reads last year's figures by mistake.
Late check-in allowance. The state sets the longest grace period a school can give for a late check-in. A school can set a stricter limit, but never a more lenient one.
GPS allowance. One extra radius is added to every school's campus boundary across the state. It absorbs normal GPS inaccuracy, so a teacher standing at their own school gate is never turned away.
Correction allowance. The state sets how many attendance corrections each school may make per month. Every change to this setting is kept in an audit history.
State holidays. Holidays the state declares appear in every school's calendar automatically. No school's attendance figure is pulled down by a day nobody was supposed to work.
Leave types. The state defines its leave types, along with how leave builds up, whether it carries forward to the next year, whether unused leave can be paid out, and which staff each type applies to.
Every school that joins the platform later inherits these settings automatically. No circular needs to go out, and nobody has to chase compliance.
